Theatre has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I first stepped onto a stage, I discovered a freedom I had never felt before. Acting gave me the courage to step beyond myself and explore emotions and identities far beyond my own.
After working at a summer stock theatre that allowed me to perform in four shows, each rehearsed in just a week, I fell even more in love with performing. Seeing how the audiences reacted to my work, from laughter during a funny moment to tears in their eyes when talking about an emotional scene, it showed me the kind of impact I could make as an artist. As I’ve grown, my passion has been slowly shifting toward film, where the camera captures the smallest flicker of truth. What draws me to film is its intimacy of it, the way a single close-up can reveal an entire world of feeling. My goal as an actress is to bring authentic, underrepresented stories to the screen and to represent those who are often unseen.
Growing up, I rarely saw people who looked like me truly shine on stage or screen. That realization drives me to become the kind of artist who helps fill that gap. I want to use my voice and artistry to challenge stereotypes and celebrate Latinx identity as a source of strength and beauty. Ultimately, I hope my work inspires others to embrace who they are and to believe that their stories deserve to be seen and heard.
